The Tilal Liwa Hotel was the main project I was responsible for while located in Abu Dhabi. It was built in less than one year from concept to completion, in order to be open for the 2010 Madinat Zayed Camel Festival which nearly 30,000 camels attended! The project timeline was extremely ambitious, especially considering the need to establish municipal utility connections which did not exist anywhere near site, a separate employee housing facility, and the use of a novel new building method which you can read about here.
